Metaleptic Fit: Heavy Metal for All!
Metaleptic Fit is a metal band based in the Chicago area, formed in 2013 and lead by the multi-instrumentalist Reverend Metal Eptic. From the beginning, RME has enraptured heavy metal as a lifestyle of spiritual reverence.
Traveling as a missionary through Dubna, Russia in 2010, The Reverend was accidentally exposed to Tennessine (Ts 117), the super heavy artificial element, the heaviest metal on earth (formerly named Ununseptium, Uus 117). He has an insatiable desire to bring the heaviest metal to all, leading the charge- culminating in a Metaleptic Fit.
Reverend Metaleptic Fit’s lyrics address society issues and an awareness of the times in which we live, from an explicit first-person point of view. A story is told in each song, with the intention of making people aware of these topics for contemplation of action. RME: “Our lyrics and music are meant to offend without the use of profanity, obscenity.” Each song is a sermon.
RME’s music comes from deep within, it is dark and heavy. It is based on the dissonance of tritones and use of chromatic scales. It is produced to affect the body, to make it move. Each song leads to a mosh part and is then brought back to the theme. This is fast, deep, and guttural, and is nu-metal with its own sound.
New Release April 19, 2024- Secret Door Sermon 57- ‘Secret Door’ is a man’s self-introspection and the mystical insight into the divine nature of his being. It is about a man who has found a path in his mind to a higher state of consciousness. His outward angst and anger are a balance to the peaceful serenity that is on the other side of the Secret Door.
The Reverend unleashed his first retinue, Metaleptic Fit, with their two-song sampler in December 2016. and dropped their third song ‘Let’s Build Another Wall’ on July 4, 2018. Coming up in 2024- Metaleptic Fit will release Secret Door on April 19, 2024.
