Secret Door – The resurgence into Heavy Metal

With “Secret Door,” Reverend Metal Eptic and Metaleptic Fit mark resurgence into Heavy Metal with their spiritually profound lyricism

Chicago, IL -Emerging from a brief hiatus with renewed vigor and vision, Metaleptic Fit is set to dominate in 2024 with the release of their latest single, “Secret Door.” Scheduled for April 19.

This track marks the continuation of their journey, delving deeper into the realms of nu-metal while maintaining the distinctive sound that fans have come to love. “Secret Door” is not just a song; it’s an exploration of the human psyche, a narrative that takes the listener on a journey to the depths of self-introspection and the quest for a higher state of consciousness.

ABOUT

Metaleptic Fit stands at the crossroads of metal music and spiritual awakening, a band that has carved its unique niche in the heavy metal world since its formation in 2013. Based in Chicago, Illinois, and lead by the enigmatic Reverend Metal Eptic, this group has always been more than just a band; it’s a mission. Reverend Metal Eptic, a multi-instrumentalist with a story as unique as the music he creates, found his calling under extraordinary circumstances. A trip to Dubna, Russia, in 2010 led to an accidental exposure to Tennessine (Ts 117), the heaviest metal on earth. This pivotal moment transformed him, igniting an insatiable desire to spread the gospel of heavy metal across the globe.

Metaleptic Fit’s music echoes a sermon, delivering stories and commentaries on societal issues through a blend of dark, heavy sounds and nuanced, thought-provoking lyrics. Their approach to music is both a physical and spiritual journey, aiming to incite reflection and action among their listeners.

Reverend Metal Eptic is back

After a brief hiatus, Reverend Metal Eptic is back behind the pulpit with more sermons to come in 2024- Metaleptic Fit will release three more songs and videos, and a premiere live appearance at a virtual concert. The multi-instrumentalist Reverend Metal Eptic has been the primary player on the recordings. On the upcoming releases there is a featured lead guitarist and drummer TBA.

Secret Door

With 2018 coming to an end, the Reverend retreated through his ‘Secret Door’ to reflect on himself, love, loss and the demons of hatred.

Sermon 57- ‘Secret Door’ is a man’s self-introspection and the mystical insight into the divine nature of his being (to be released on radio in January 2019).

The Reverend is now producing Sermon #61 about bullying. He is taking a trip back in time to the early New York punk scene to vocalize ‘Stop the Bully Now’.

Metaleptic Fit’s videos can now be viewed at Metal Video http://www.metalvideo.com listed under Heavy Metal. https://www.metalvideo.com/search.php?keywords=metaleptic+fit&video-id=

Let’s Build Another Wall – Official Lyrics

The ‘Let’s Build Another Wall’ official lyric video is scheduled for release on Friday, September 21. The song has been digitally distributed and is now available. In the Reverend Metal Eptic’s sermon 61, the Reverend discusses the social impact of building physical and mental walls. He makes a call to action and the people join in. Is it the Reverend’s true will to build walls or is this his sardonicism?

The Rev is finishing up recording the last track on the next release- ‘Secret Door’. ‘Secret Door’ is about a man’s self-introspection and his mystical insight into the divine nature of his being. The mix down is scheduled in mid-September then on to mastering. The video recording of ‘Secret Door’ began in late August. This video will feature the Reverend Metal Eptic’s performance along with the animation as in the other MF video’s. The Reverend is revealed. Release date will be in early November.

Recording has begun on the next song- ‘Stop The Bully Now’. The song’s title is self-explanatory. ‘Stop The Bully Now’ has more of a metal punk sound. This is a stretch for Metaleptic Fit moving away from their dark diminished 5th’s, hammering out a lighter, more traditional I-IV-V chord progression- its punk.

Metaleptic Fit’s is Ramping Up

Metaleptic Fit’s is ramping up to soon drop their upcoming release ‘Let’s Build Another Wall’. The mastering will be complete this week. Look for it on your favorite streaming platform. A video to follow shortly afterwards.

Let’s Build Another Wall’ is a satirical look at a current political situation in the USA. Not taking any side of the issue, the Reverend’s heavy powerful rhythms pound out his message for all to chant.

We’re just as excited as our fans are to putting out more metal music for all.

New Album Release Scheduled for First of Year

The last session was vocals. On these recordings the Reverend is going further with layering vocals, the debut release had only one vocal track recorded.

The drum tracks are taking  the most time.  The Reverend is meticulous analyzing each and every note.  The core of the sound is the double kick drums and the 14″ marching band snare drum.

To get the heavy low sound the Gibson SG guitar uses a Semour Duncan Dimebag Darrell pick up and used for melody & lead is drop tuned to D.  The seven string DeArmond Seven Star guitar used for the motion drive is drop tuned to A.  Both played through Marshall JCM 900’s with single 4×12 Marshall cabinets.  An ISP Decimator gate is used to keep it clean.
Minimal pedals are used.  Pedals used: Digitec Jam Man looper, MXR DD-11 Dimebag Darrel distortion, Cry Baby Wah.

The Schecter Stiletto 4 string bass is used to bring the heavy low end.  Played through Tech 21 Sans Amp and occasionally a MXR Auto Wah. A midi guitar controls the higher end synthesizer tracks adding guitar dynamics to the sound.  Overall the recordings are not heavily layered keeping it within the power trio realm, so it can be played live, keeping it real.

So far 4 songs have been laid  down with four more to go.  We are excited about the way this project is turning out. The final sessions are scheduled for November.  The album is expected to be released in December/January digitally and CD.  There is a possibility that the album will be available on vinyl a month or two after the digital release.

Heavy Metal

Industrial/thrash metal band Metaleptic Fit have entered the Chicago music scene with their debut album that leads you on a journey that transcends space and time as you literally become engulfed in the music that is reminiscent of Pantera and Sepultura. Lead by The Reverend, Metaleptic Fit’s bone-crushing sound and haunting vocals are just what you have been seeking for in the metal underbelly of heavy metal music. With your heart pounding and drumbeats rolling, their track “She’s Calling Me” will grab your attention and reel you in as you rock out and beg for more. The Reverend knows how to lead and his vocals will entrance you as you become fixated on the lyrics that talk of a modern world. Whether you are a mere metal enthusiast or the hardest of rockers, Metaleptic Fit’s album is sure to fill that void of what has been missing from that hardcore metal industry.

The first album release from Metaleptic Fit takes you on a voyage where their heart-pulsing lyrics and rattling beats will allow you to escape from all that is wrong in the world. The Reverend brings it down hard in “Prey On Thee,” raining bone-crushing attitude that takes on the flavor of bands such as Pantera, Sepultura, and Black Sabbath. With a past that takes influences from his work as a missionary in Dubna, Russia, The Reverend brings you into the fold and allows you to see his point of view without error. As the heaviest of metal sounds, Metaleptic Fit grabs your attention and makes you sit up and listen hard. Its unscrupulous brashness points you in the right direction and brings you home again as The Reverend makes no excuse for his defiance and gives you the music that contains you and brings you to life.

With a sound that startles, makes you rock, and gives you hope, Metaleptic Fit’s two-track debut album has all that you need and so much more. With the track “She’s Calling Me” you’ll feel your heart racing as the drum beats come at you with pulsing accuracy. The vocals by The Reverend are haunting and at times chilling, but you will be sucked into his control and find yourself lost in the world of thrash metal. Taking inspiration from the likes of Pantera, Sepultura, and Black Sabbath, Metaleptic Fit has brought this heavy industrial sound back to life and given us hope that there will be more. Its track “Prey On Thee” invites you to find your inner rocker and move in time to a beat that won’t disappoint. You’ll find that Metaleptic Fit offers a sound that is in touch with today’s world, giving you insight that there may be more from this band.

What people are saying about Reverend Metaleptic

I would love it if they talk about more socail problems, the song to other people may seem apalling but its something thats in this world and will not stop. Metal is misunderstood for having no message but if you listen to the song most of the time they have a message. yes its dark but its something nobody talks about and should

The studio is expected to be up and running by Spring, 2017 and the band will be releasing their podcast, Copius Discernments, hosted by the Reverend. He will cover music, social issues at hand, relevant news items, his metal influenced spiritualism and more. The event dates and times will be posted to the band’s various social media outlets.
