Reverend Metal Eptic is back

After a brief hiatus, Reverend Metal Eptic is back behind the pulpit with more sermons to come in 2024- Metaleptic Fit will release three more songs and videos, and a premiere live appearance at a virtual concert. The multi-instrumentalist Reverend Metal Eptic has been the primary player on the recordings. On the upcoming releases there is a featured lead guitarist and drummer TBA.

Secret Door

With 2018 coming to an end, the Reverend retreated through his ‘Secret Door’ to reflect on himself, love, loss and the demons of hatred.

Sermon 57- ‘Secret Door’ is a man’s self-introspection and the mystical insight into the divine nature of his being (to be released on radio in January 2019).

The Reverend is now producing Sermon #61 about bullying. He is taking a trip back in time to the early New York punk scene to vocalize ‘Stop the Bully Now’.

Metaleptic Fit’s videos can now be viewed at Metal Video http://www.metalvideo.com listed under Heavy Metal. https://www.metalvideo.com/search.php?keywords=metaleptic+fit&video-id=

Let’s Build Another Wall – Official Lyrics

The ‘Let’s Build Another Wall’ official lyric video is scheduled for release on Friday, September 21. The song has been digitally distributed and is now available. In the Reverend Metal Eptic’s sermon 61, the Reverend discusses the social impact of building physical and mental walls. He makes a call to action and the people join in. Is it the Reverend’s true will to build walls or is this his sardonicism?

The Rev is finishing up recording the last track on the next release- ‘Secret Door’. ‘Secret Door’ is about a man’s self-introspection and his mystical insight into the divine nature of his being. The mix down is scheduled in mid-September then on to mastering. The video recording of ‘Secret Door’ began in late August. This video will feature the Reverend Metal Eptic’s performance along with the animation as in the other MF video’s. The Reverend is revealed. Release date will be in early November.

Recording has begun on the next song- ‘Stop The Bully Now’. The song’s title is self-explanatory. ‘Stop The Bully Now’ has more of a metal punk sound. This is a stretch for Metaleptic Fit moving away from their dark diminished 5th’s, hammering out a lighter, more traditional I-IV-V chord progression- its punk.

Metaleptic Fit’s is Ramping Up

Metaleptic Fit’s is ramping up to soon drop their upcoming release ‘Let’s Build Another Wall’. The mastering will be complete this week. Look for it on your favorite streaming platform. A video to follow shortly afterwards.

Let’s Build Another Wall’ is a satirical look at a current political situation in the USA. Not taking any side of the issue, the Reverend’s heavy powerful rhythms pound out his message for all to chant.

We’re just as excited as our fans are to putting out more metal music for all.

New Album Release Scheduled for First of Year

The last session was vocals. On these recordings the Reverend is going further with layering vocals, the debut release had only one vocal track recorded.

The drum tracks are taking  the most time.  The Reverend is meticulous analyzing each and every note.  The core of the sound is the double kick drums and the 14″ marching band snare drum.

To get the heavy low sound the Gibson SG guitar uses a Semour Duncan Dimebag Darrell pick up and used for melody & lead is drop tuned to D.  The seven string DeArmond Seven Star guitar used for the motion drive is drop tuned to A.  Both played through Marshall JCM 900’s with single 4×12 Marshall cabinets.  An ISP Decimator gate is used to keep it clean.
Minimal pedals are used.  Pedals used: Digitec Jam Man looper, MXR DD-11 Dimebag Darrel distortion, Cry Baby Wah.

The Schecter Stiletto 4 string bass is used to bring the heavy low end.  Played through Tech 21 Sans Amp and occasionally a MXR Auto Wah. A midi guitar controls the higher end synthesizer tracks adding guitar dynamics to the sound.  Overall the recordings are not heavily layered keeping it within the power trio realm, so it can be played live, keeping it real.

So far 4 songs have been laid  down with four more to go.  We are excited about the way this project is turning out. The final sessions are scheduled for November.  The album is expected to be released in December/January digitally and CD.  There is a possibility that the album will be available on vinyl a month or two after the digital release.

What people are saying about Reverend Metaleptic

I would love it if they talk about more socail problems, the song to other people may seem apalling but its something thats in this world and will not stop. Metal is misunderstood for having no message but if you listen to the song most of the time they have a message. yes its dark but its something nobody talks about and should

Metaleptic Fits New Studio in the Works

The band has devised plans to move into their newly acquired studio here in Chicago. They had previously recorded in a small underground space, still making fresh hits, but with little room to expand. They will soon be able to not only record more industrial, thrash metal songs for the rest of their upcoming album, but add new elements to their social media scope. The new space will give them rehearsal space, a video studio, and an area to record new webcasts to share with the fans. The studio is expected to be up and running by Spring, 2017 and the band will be releasing their podcast, Copius Discernments, hosted by the Reverend. He will cover music, social issues at hand, relevant news items, his metal influenced spiritualism and more. The event dates and times will be posted to the band’s various social media outlets.

Metaleptic Fit Announces the Premiere of Their First Release Album

Thrash Metal Band Reveals Brand-New Compilation
February, 2017, Illinois, CH – On January 24, 2016 Metaleptic Fit unveiled their two-song debut cd featuring the tracks She’s Calling Me and Prey on Thee .

The story of She’s Calling Me is of a heroin user that overdoses and ends up in the hospital. The character’s almost fatal struggle is a call to attention about the long standing social issue of heroin abuse. This entry sets the tone for the album with its strong drum beats, deep vocals, and electrifying guitar riff over tones. True to the bands vision, the song focuses on social issues through their intended medium of thrash metal with rapid percussion and guttural reverberations laced over intense guitar progressions.

The three-piece band, fronted by the Reverend, is in the studio this month recording more songs of lament for their album release later this spring. Expectations to include fan involvement as well as merchandise giveaways are planned in the upcoming months.

About Metaleptic Fit
Metaleptic Fit is an industrial/thrash metal band based in the Chicago area, formed in 2013 and lead by The Reverend. The Reverend’s background has crossed through rock, blues, rap, hip-hop, house, and dance genres. From the beginning, he has enraptured heavy metal as a lifestyle of spiritual reverence. Traveling as a missionary through Dubna, Russia in 2010, The Reverend was accidentally exposed to Ununseptium (Uus 117), the super heavy artificial element, the heaviest metal on earth. He has an insatiable desire to bring the heaviest metal to all, leading the charge- culminating in a Metaleptic Fit. Rocking his followers with musical influences of Sepultura, Pantera, Deicide and Black Sabbath, Metaleptic Fit’s lyrics incorporate society issues and awareness of the times in which we live, from a first person point of view.

Innovative Thrash Metal Band to Debut Two New Hot Tracks

January 1, 2017, Illinois, CH – On January 10, 2017 Metaleptic Fit will debut their two song sampler featuring the tracks Prey on Thee and She’s Calling Me. The songs reflect the bands passion to address social issues in the times we live in set against dark and heavy guitar riffs at a fast and aggressive pace.

Led by front man, The Reverend, Metaleptic fit contains the attitudes and musical styles of fellow heavy metal bands the likes of Anthrax, Megadeath, and Slayer, to name a few. The Reverend himself has been influenced by many genres of music, culminating in his unique thrash metal meets social commentary style.

Prey on Thee uses hardcore percussion and hard-hitting lyrics to express the outrage at social injustices. In this song, The Reverend rocks social issues and the times we live in today. Prey On Thee is a story of a Catholic Priest arrested for child abuse, this priest tells his story to the detective in the interrogation room then ends up in a jail cell.
*Note: This art does not condone child abuse in any way.

She’s Calling Me is a story of a heroin user that overdoses and ends up in the hospital. Also a wicked social commentary, this track infuses deep drum solos with an electric guitar hammering rhythms and melodies and synthesizing beats to accent the disdain felt through the lyrics.

*Note: This art does not condone drug abuse in anyway.

The tracks will be released January 10, 2017, and will be accompanied by lyric videos on the bands YouTube Metaleptic Fit channel.
